From Croatia to Belgium: Europe Struggles with Unprecedented Fires

Europe is battling fierce wildfires from Croatia's coastal town of Omiš, where one person died and dozens were injured, to Spain's Huelva region, burning for 10 days before stabilizing. Belgium faces its largest fire on record, turning a nature reserve into wasteland and forcing the army to assist, as soldiers also help tackle blazes in the UK. Hundreds of thousands have been displaced across France and beyond, raising urgent questions about climate readiness.
