OSP, Parliament Urged to Investigate Alleged Bribery in AKSA Deal

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) and Parliament have been urged to lead investigations into allegations of bribery and corruption linked to the AKSA energy deal.
The call follows evidence from a United States criminal prosecution indicating that payments were allegedly made to some Members of Ghana's Parliament in connection with the AKSA Emergency Power Agreement.
Addressing the press, private legal practitioner Daniel Otting Awuah called on the OSP to respond to his Right to Information (RTI) request and make public relevant reports, information and documents shared with US authorities.
He is demanding greater transparency and accountability over the circumstances surrounding the AKSA agreement and the allegations emerging from the US proceedings.
