Business Editor For Diageo Africa Awards
Mr. Felix Klutse, Business Editor of DAILY GUIDE, has made it to the final of the “Best Business News Story” category of the Diageo Africa Business Reporting Awards 2010.
His article: “'China Takes African Market by Storm”, has propelled him to this enviable position.
He joins a growing number of African business journalists who go into the final across 11 categories of the Diageo Africa Business Reporting Awards.
Diageo, the world's leading premium drinks business and the parent company of Guinness Ghana Breweries Ltd. is the sponsor of these awards.
More than 750 entries were received from 20 countries across Africa and the rest of the world. A panel of eminent judges will now select the winners of each category, who will be announced at a gala ceremony in London on Thursday 1st July 2010.
The judging panel brings together global experts from the field of media, business, as well as pan-African initiatives and organisations.
They include Ms. Zeinab Badawi, International news broadcaster, Dr. Shantayanan Devarajan, Chief Economist of the World Bank's Africa Division, Mr. Paul Walsh (Chair), CEO of Diageo and Baroness Shriti Vadera, G20 Advisor and former Minister for Business and Competitiveness in Gordon Brown's Government.
Commenting on this year's awards, Ekwunife Okoli, Managing Director, Guinness Ghana Breweries Ltd. said, “I am very glad that a Ghanaian business journalist has made it to the finalist. I hope he goes ahead and wins the award at the awards ceremony.
