Four Ghanaian bodybuilders have been handed an opportunity to represent Ghana at the World Amateur Bodybuilding Association (WABBA) World Championship in Lviv, Ukraine.

The championship between June 14 – 16, would see the four Ghanaian representatives; Nana Gyan and Fred Amankwah for men's bodybuilding while Daniel Owusu and Emmanuel Odoi would compete in the men's physique.

The Ghanaian representatives at this year's World Championships were chosen after a successful outing in the Muscle Fly and Strength Championship, held last Saturday at the Alisa Hotel, in Accra.

Mr Victor Baiden, President of WABBA Ghana said the championship was a justifier to select athletes for the upcoming competition.

''This championship would help put the athletes in better shape ahead of the World Championship and they would start coming in the next coming days ahead of the competition,'' he said.

Mr Baiden was hopeful Ghana would bag it first international medal in the sport of bodybuilding on the World stage.

He also called for support from corporate bodies ahead of the World Championship and was grateful to Multi Pak, Ironman Supplements, FitRip Gym, Electroland Ghana Ltd and Verna Water for sponsoring the Muscle Fly and Strength Championship.

WABBA Ghana would also in December organise the major bodybuilding championships dubbed ''Super Body 2''.
