Adolf Armah wish Kwesi Appiah well to succeed

Adolf Armah one of Ghana’s finest footballers who was captain of the Black Stars in 1981 is optimistic Kwesi Appiah will shine with the Black Stars if he is given the much-needed support from the government, GFA, the players, media and the fans.

He captained the Black Stars team to qualify in Zaire in 1981, but did not go to Libya in 1982 as he was injured and later went to play professional football in Egypt, Gabon, Cote d voire, United Arab Emirates UAE and Qatar.

The former Accra Hearts of Oak superstar was a real gem on the ball and deserves to be in Ghana Finest Footballers. During his playing days, he alone controls the midfield and was known as the Midfield General.

Adolf Armah could have won Africa's Best Footballer in 1979 when he placed second after Accra Hearts of Oak lost the African Cup at the final...Nigeria football fans say when they get this player they will win the World Cup. He introduced Abedi Pele, and his successor became a hero of African Football.

He coached Hearts for some time after training the Rising Stars. Adolf is now based in USA, but monitors events in Ghana.

He expressed interest in the Finest Footballers contest and said it is good education for the young one who did not see some of their talent and skills.
