Rivaldo Coetzee and Lawrence Lartey have established a formidable central defensive partnership at Ajax Cape Town with the duo putting in some excellent all-round performances.
Coetzee developed a great partnership with Abbubaker Mobara over the past two seasons, however, Mobara has shown signs of being a great right back, which has paved the way for Lartey to come in and show his quality.
'He came in at just the right time, because we lost a defender and then we got him. So far for the past three games he's been doing well. He is coping with the style of football here, I can see us growing stronger and stronger,' commented Coetzee.
Lartey joined the Urban Warriors in November 2015, but was forced to wait until January 2016 for his work permit to arrive.
The 22-year-old has plenty of experience as he helped his former side Ashanti Gold win league honours in the 2014/15 season and was subsequently selected for the Ghana Premier League Team of the Season.
'I'm coping well with life here. As a player, you have to be ready for anything that comes your way. For now, we are on course, we've played three games so far and we are hoping to get even better as we continue to play more games together, said Lartey.
