Sources close to Allsports.com.gh can confirm that Samuel Osei Kuffour has been mandated by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to form his own management team to run Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Allsports.com.gh understands that the existing board headed by Paul Adu Gyamfi esq. has been dissolved, hence Kuffour will not work under any board of directors.
Opoku Nti, the erstwhile CEO of the club had been told earlier of his replacement, so all efforts were made to compensate him with the Executive Committee seat, which he won last Tuesday on the ticket of Kotoko by the powers that be.
Osei Kuffour who until yesterday was a member of the board of directors of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, who were appointed in 2013 to take over from the K.K Sarpong led board.
The former Bayern Munich defender has lined-up sponsorship packages from within the country and abroad to the Kumasi based outfit and it is likely that either Puma or Adidas will kit the club next season.
The Porcupine Warriors struggled throughout the 2014-15 season and failed to defend any of the FA Cup and league titles won in the 2013-14 season.
