Red Bull Salzburg are considering the permanent release of Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah over his persistent injury situation.
The 26-year-old has not played for both club and country in almost two years after suffering a horrific knee injury.
Vorsah's several attempts to make a comeback have been frustrated by a series of minor injuries and infections.
Red Bull Salzburg have continued to foot the expensive medical bills of the Ghana international.
The club have also been paying his salary regularly despite not getting anything in return from the player.
Reports in Austria now suggest the club are ready to sever ties with the former Hoffenheim man, being convinced that Vorsah's football career is virtually over.
They however refused to respond to these simmering reports.
Vorsah joined Red Bull in the summer of 2012 and went on to have a fine debut season.
A horrific knee injury sustained at the start of the season a year later has since robbed the Ghana international of any chance of playing football.
