
Ghana striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom dedicated his last-gasp goal which earned Atalanta a 1-0 win over Parma to his parents who celebrated their 25 th wedding anniversary on Sunday.
The on-Juventus striker came of the bench in the 76th minute and sealed the win for the Nerrazuri on the 90th minute mark.
Boakye was celebrating his second league goal for the club and helped them end the chain of four defeats in a row.
“I want to start by thanking God who helps me and gives me strength. Victory today was for the team that does not give up and ran till the end.
“I dedicate this goal to my mother and my father, who today celebrate 25 years of marriage.
“The three points? They are very important. We suffered previous defeats, but now we enjoy this victory gives us confidence for the next matches.”
