Accra , July 29, GNA - Ghana 's Under-15 Badminton team, will from July 20, commence a special residential camping in Accra in preparations towards the 2010 Edition of the All Africa Championship, fixed for July 28 to August 8, in Mauritius .
Seven players, made up of four boys and three girls, have been invited by the Badminton Association of Ghana (BAG) for the camping.
They are; Mohamed Adam, Lawton Hamilton Arhin, Emmanuel Botwe and Abraham Aryitey making up the boys team, whilst Diana Acher, Stella Amasah and Gifty Mensah form the female team.
Ignatius Elletey, General Secretary of the Ghana Badminton Association (GBA), said the championship will be preceded by a coaching course and a training clinic for the young players.
He said the two programmes, scheduled for Wednesday July 28 to 31, is to update the knowledge of coaches on the new trend of the sport, as well as developing young talents.
The programmes under the auspices of the Badminton Confederation of Africa (BCA) would have Jacob Evans Wilson and Mr. Twum-Amponfo Boateng as Ghana 's participants.
