Frank Danquah declared wanted over alleged narcotics offences

The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has declared Frank Danquah wanted over his alleged involvement in suspected narcotics-related offences.

In a public notice issued on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, the Commission appealed to the public to provide any information that could assist in locating Mr Danquah.

NACOC urged anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact the Commission through its toll-free hotline, 0800 307 307.

The notice did not specify the particular offences for which Mr Danquah is wanted.

However, NACOC’s official wanted-persons page indicates that individuals placed on its wanted list may be sought in connection with offences under the Narcotics Control Commission Act, 2020 (Act 1019). These include the importation or exportation of narcotic drugs or plants, unlawful possession or control, and prohibited business involving narcotic substances.

The latest notice comes at a time of heightened attention on Ghana’s efforts to combat narcotics trafficking and ongoing investigations into suspected drug-related offences.

Earlier in September, authorities began investigating the alleged trafficking of about 3.9 tonnes of suspected cocaine from Ghana to France after the consignment was intercepted at Dunkirk.

Six people were subsequently remanded in connection with the case.

Prosecutors alleged that four containers had been scanned at the Tema Port before being released for export despite abnormalities allegedly detected in the scan images.

NACOC, however, has not stated in its latest public notice that Mr Danquah is connected to the France cocaine case.
