Ghanaian striker Mark Amofah will be out of action for at least six weeks after suffering a knee injury in training.
The Denmark-based hitman picked up the injury on Tuesday during a practice game for Danish club SonderjyskE against Second Division Sonderborg.
The 21-year-old's injury comes as a major blow as he is currently in good scoring form, having found the back of the net on three occasions so far this season.
The former Bloemfontein Celtic forward is currently in Germany, where he is undergoing treatment.
The former Asante Kotoko player told KickOff: "I feel bad. The injury has come at a time when I was just starting to enjoy my football in Denmark.
"However, these things happen in football and so I shall remain strong and hope to regain my form as soon as my injury heals.
"I flew to Germany yesterday for treatment and hopefully I'll bounce back soon."
Amofah went on to praise the Black Stars "B" team that played against Bafana Bafana on Tuesday night.
"The second string team that played yesterday shows just how much talent there is in Ghana. I think all the players that got a chance to play yesterday have done a lot towards impressing the coach."
