Relegated Premier League side,Zaytuna United FC,are pointing accusing fingers at top government officials for influencing the last league game against RTU that cost their demotion.
Zaytuna conceded two injury time goals at the Sunyani Coronation Park after taking the lead in the first half through Frank Boateng.
Real Tamale United's equalizer in the 92nd minute was adjudged not to have crossed the goal line and Zaytuna players protested vehemently which resulted in referee head butting midfielder Gideon Baah.
Zaytuna claim the referee was motivated by the office of the Vice-President of the country to swing victory to the side where he once headed.
"If you hear comments like people saying if RTU are relegated, they will not vote for the ruling NPP during December's elections then it is worrying," Chairman of Zaytuna,Olloboe Commodore told Ghanasoccernet.com
"Also after the match,a vehicle with a State Protocol Department registration number plate picked referee Mercy Tagoe up.
We believe the car is coming from the Vice-President's office,'' Commodore added.
"In the match as well, the referee showed two of our key players yellow card-as if she new about their capabilities.
"Two directors of the club-Jones Abu Alhassan and Alhaji Munkaila also denied our sponsor Metro TV from covering the match. This I think it is unfair.
"We are going to protest the GFA over the behaviour of the referee and other matter.Remember,we are not relegated until Congress convenes."
Zaytuna, Great Olympics and Real Sportive were the three clubs that failed to escape the drop zone after 30 matches in the just ended Onetouch Premier League.
