Ghana's Black Stars have been nominated for the Men's National Team of the Year award at the 2026 CAF Awards following their return to the knockout stage of the FIFA World Cup.
The four time African champions are among 10 national teams shortlisted for the prestigious accolade by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
They will compete for the award against Algeria, Cabo Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, DR Congo, Egypt, Morocco, Senegal, South Africa and Tunisia.
Ghana's nomination comes after the team's campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they progressed to the knockout stage for the first time since reaching the quarter-finals in 2010.
The nomination offers further recognition of the Black Stars' performance on the international stage as they seek to re-establish themselves among Africa's leading football nations.
The 2026 CAF Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on Monday, 7 December.
