Tottenham Hotspur coach Roberto De Zerbi has praised Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus and French attacker Mathys Tel for their influential performances in the 2-0 Premier League victory over Chelsea.

Spurs ended their long wait for a league win away to Chelsea with an impressive display at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Chelsea goalkeeper Mike Penders turned a Mateus Fernandes corner into his own net to give Tottenham the lead before Tel sealed the victory with a superb solo effort late in the game.

“I think we won the game with two wingers, Kudus and Mathys; they made the difference,” De Zerbi said.

Kudus provided Tottenham with an attacking outlet on the right flank, using his pace and ball-carrying ability to push Chelsea back and create space for his teammates.

On the opposite wing, Tel offered direct running and attacking energy before producing a moment of individual brilliance to secure all three points for the visitors.

The French forward collected the ball inside his own half before driving towards the Chelsea penalty area and creating space to shoot. He then sent a low effort into the corner of the net to cap an impressive performance.

Kudus, meanwhile, will be keen to build on his encouraging form following his return from injury as Tottenham prepare to host Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The Ghana international's contribution against Chelsea will be a boost for De Zerbi as Spurs look to maintain their momentum in the Premier League.
