Police Cycling Team rider Victor Cudjoe produced a commanding solo performance to win the 2026 Osagyefo Criterium, finishing more than two minutes clear of the chasing pack in Accra.
Cudjoe attacked on the demanding University Farm Road circuit in Borteyman and held off the peloton over the 113km Elite Men's race, crossing the line in 3:02:39 at an average speed of 37.120km/h – the fastest race of the day.
The victory earned the Police cyclist the GHS10,000 winner's prize after he finished 2 minutes and 18 seconds ahead of the chasing group.
His teammate Emmanuel Sesi secured second place in 3:04:57.27, while Frank Akuffo completed the podium just fractions of a second later in 3:04:57.75.
The battle behind Cudjoe was remarkably close, with riders from third to ninth separated by less than a second as they sprinted for the minor placings.
Nigeria's Obinna Saint Jude of Subsea Cycling Club finished fourth and was named the Most Combative Rider after playing a prominent role in driving the pace throughout the race.
