Ghanaian super flyweight contender Theophilus Allotey says he is ready to challenge for a world title after maintaining his unbeaten record with victory over Argentina's Facundo David Garcia at the Osagyefo Fight Night in Accra.
The 15-0 fighter outboxed Garcia over 12 rounds at the Bukom Boxing Arena on 19 September, with the win strengthening hopes that a world title opportunity could be on the horizon.
Head trainer Dr Ofori Asare thanked Ghanaians and boxing fans across Africa for their support, insisting Team Allotey remains firmly on course to achieve its ultimate ambition.
"Our goal is to fight for the world title," Asare said after the contest.
The experienced coach was supported at ringside by Elvis Robertson of Akotoku Academy, Vincent Akai Nettey of Attoh Quarshie Boxing Club and assistants from Wisdom Boxing Gym, including Ebenezer Adjei.

Allotey said his preparation proved decisive against Garcia, revealing that his team had studied the Argentine before the bout.
"I prepared very well and studied him," he said.
The Ghanaian believes he controlled the fight through the opening nine rounds before Garcia pushed aggressively for a knockout in the closing stages.
"He wanted a knockout in rounds 10 to 12, but we had a strategy and were able to dominate and entertain the fans."
The 15-0 boxer expressed confidence that he can bring a world title to Ghana, adding that he already sees himself as a future undisputed champion with ambitions of winning multiple belts.

The event's organisers, Obra Sports Promotions, were commended for staging a successful show, with security arrangements and the quality of the bouts drawing praise.
The fight card also featured victories for Samuel Takyi, Mohammed Fall, Gideon Nortey, Michael Decardi Nelson, Jerry Klutei Robertson, Joseph Antwi and Inusah.
Matchmakers Sarah Lotus Asare and Daniel Donkor, along with other officials who contributed to the event, also received recognition for their roles.
Born in Ga Mashie, Allotey has emerged as one of Ghana's brightest boxing prospects and, with backing from Legacy Rise Sports Promotions, his camp believes a world title shot could soon become reality.
