The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will hold its 32nd Ordinary Congress on Thursday, 20 August 2026, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss the administration and future direction of football in the country.
The annual statutory meeting will take place at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram in accordance with Article 31(2) of the GFA Statutes.
The Congress is one of the most important events on the GFA calendar, giving members an opportunity to review the previous football season, assess ongoing programmes and consider decisions that could have a significant impact on the game.
Delegates are expected to discuss issues covering competitions, football development, governance, administration and the Association's strategic plans for the upcoming season.
The GFA has formally notified members of the date, allowing delegates time to prepare for the meeting. A formal convocation is also expected to be circulated ahead of the Congress in line with the Association's statutes.
The convocation will include the agenda for the meeting, activity reports, financial statements and the auditors' report. These documents will allow delegates to examine the GFA's activities and financial position before taking part in the discussions.
Club representatives, technical officials and other stakeholders are expected to attend the full-day meeting.
The Congress will also provide an opportunity for the GFA leadership to engage directly with members on ongoing initiatives and address concerns affecting football at different levels.
Ghanaian football continues to face a number of challenges, while also pursuing opportunities for growth and development. As a result, attention will be focused on the issues raised and decisions taken during the Congress.
The meeting will ultimately provide a platform for the Association's members to reflect on the state of Ghana football, assess the progress made and help determine priorities for the next phase of its development.
