Ghana's Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Theresa Adjei-Mensah, has welcomed the Black Princesses to Poland ahead of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.
Adjei-Mensah travelled from Prague to meet the Ghanaian team in Krakow, where they are currently based as they prepare for the tournament.
The ambassador urged the players to represent Ghana with pride on the global stage and assured them of continued government support.
"I am so happy to come from Prague to welcome you to Poland. I know you have put in so much work and the time is almost near," she told the team.
"I trust your technical team has taken you through great preparation and I believe you will go and make Ghana proud."
Adjei-Mensah also said President John Dramani Mahama was aware of the team's assignment and had pledged his support.
"The President of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama, is aware of the task ahead of you and has assured of his continued support to these young girls," she added.
The ambassador also revealed plans to mobilise Ghanaians living in Poland to support the Black Princesses during the tournament.
"We will meet with the Ghanaian community in Poland to inform them of your arrival so they come in their numbers to wave the flag of Ghana at the stadium," she said.
"I wish you the very best, and you will see my team and me at the stadium every time to offer our support."
The Black Princesses are continuing their preparations in Krakow and are scheduled to play a series of international friendly matches as head coach Charles Sampson works to fine-tune his squad.
Ghana will begin their World Cup campaign against Ecuador on 6 September before facing Korea Republic and France in their remaining Group fixtures.
The Black Princesses will be hoping to make a strong impression in Poland as they seek to advance deep into the tournament.
