2026 WAFU B U-20 Championship: Black Satellites aim to secure first win against Burkina Faso today after disappointing start

Ghana's Black Satellites will look to get their 2026 WAFU B U-20 Championship campaign back on track when they face Burkina Faso in a must-win Group B encounter on Thursday at the Charles Konan Banny (CKB) Stadium in Yamoussoukro, Côte d'Ivoire.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 18:00 GMT, with the Black Satellites under pressure to secure all three points after suffering defeat in their opening fixture.

Head coach Maxwell Konadu will be hoping for an improved display from his side following Monday's 4-2 loss to defending champions Nigeria, a result that has left Ghana with little margin for error in the race for a place in the semi-finals.

Standing in their way is a confident Burkina Faso outfit that opened their campaign in impressive fashion, beating Togo 3-1 to move to the top of Group B.

A victory for Ghana would revive their qualification hopes ahead of their final group match against Togo, while another setback could leave their chances of progressing to the knockout stage in serious jeopardy.
