Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi is in stable condition after suffering a concussion during Sunday’s Ghana Premier League clash against Young Apostles at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The former Dreams FC shot-stopper was injured in stoppage time after dealing with what initially appeared to be a routine ball. Moments later, he showed signs of distress and required urgent medical attention.
Agbasi received on-field treatment before being stretchered off and transported by ambulance to the stadium’s clinic for further assessment.
Speaking after his side’s narrow 1-0 victory, head coach Didi Dramani provided a reassuring update on the goalkeeper’s condition.
"He is fine now. The medics responded to the situation quite well and on time, so he was revived in no time."
The coach added that Agbasi remains under close medical observation, stressing the importance of caution in such situations.
"He could not come to the post-match conference because it was too soon for him. You cannot underestimate these things. You think you are fine, but you really need to be monitored for a while."
Despite serving as second-choice this season, Agbasi has featured 11 times for Hearts of Oak, delivering reliable performances when called upon.
The Phobians will now shift focus to their Matchday 29 encounter against Vision FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex next weekend.
