Antoine Semenyo has stepped onto the training pitch at Manchester City for the first time, beginning life at the Etihad Stadium following his move from AFC Bournemouth.
The Ghana international completed a five-and-a-half-year deal, which was officially confirmed on Friday, January 9, and has wasted no time settling into Pep Guardiola’s squad.
Semenyo’s rapid integration means he is already in contention for selection ahead of City’s FA Cup third-round tie against Exeter City on Saturday, with Guardiola confirming the forward is available.
The 25-year-old arrives in Manchester in impressive form, having scored 10 Premier League goals in 20 appearances for Bournemouth this season.
His combination of power, pace and direct attacking intent has marked him out as one of the division’s standout forwards.
That rise has been shaped by perseverance and hard work. Earlier in his career, Semenyo was renowned for his commitment, once training with two non-league clubs in a single day during a loan spell at Bath City to maintain his sharpness.
Now wearing City colours, he embarks on the most significant phase of his career, determined to make an immediate impact as he targets major honours on multiple fronts.
