Black Queens forward Princella Adubea has secured a move to United Arab Emirates side, Abu Dhabi Country Club, signing a two-year contract with the club.
The experienced striker makes the switch from Turkish outfit Trabzonspor, departing midway through the season to embrace a new challenge in the Gulf region.
Adubea made an immediate impact on her debut, scoring and providing an assist, despite her side falling to a 4-5 defeat against Hồ Chí Minh City I W.F.C in the AFC Women’s Champions League.
She began her football journey with Ghana Women’s Premier League side Ampem Darkoa before moving to Spain in 2019, where she featured for Sporting Huelva and later Racing Santander. Her career then took her to Israeli club Kiryat Gat before a stint in Turkey with Trabzonspor.
On the international stage, Adubea has been a key figure for Ghana, representing the country at the U-20 level in the 2016 and 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cups.
She has since established herself as an integral part of the Black Queens setup.
The prolific forward is expected to be part of Ghana’s squad for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco later this year.
