Chairman of Ghana’s Parliament Select Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism, Wisdom Kobena Woyome, beleives the ban on the Baba Yara Stadium could have been avoided.
CAF have banned the only stadium to host international games due to it poor state.
The ban follows after Ghana's opener of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola.
The decision means the Black Stars could play Sudan on a neutral grounds in the matchday three games of the qualifiers next month.
“There’ve been efforts in the past by the government releasing money for renovations in both Baba Yara and Ohene Djan (Accra) Sports Stadium; what has happened? I’m sure they just gave monies to cronies to just go and do things anyway, anyhow and the situation still persists," he told ChannelOne TV.
“There ought to be a serious paradigm shift my dear brothers and sisters. In fact there is the need for all of us to look at it and see how this ought to be avoided," he added.
The return leg against Kwesi Appiah's side is slated to be hosted at the Al-Merrikh Stadium.
