Crystal Palace are nearing a £30 million deal to sign Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal.
The Eagles have long targeted the England international, inquiring about his availability as recently as January, but he remained with Arsenal at that time.
The transfer is expected to be structured with an initial £25 million payment and an additional £5 million in performance-related add-ons.
Nottingham Forest had been in advanced negotiations with Arsenal over a £30 million transfer for the 25-year-old but have since withdrawn their interest and are no longer pursuing the forward.
French Ligue 1 side Marseille also showed interest in Nketiah, but a move to the French club did not come to fruition.
Nketiah has yet to feature for Arsenal this season, remaining an unused substitute in both of their Premier League matches.
Over his Arsenal career, he has netted 38 goals in 168 appearances. His current contract with the club runs until 2027.
