Attacker Kwadwo Obeng Jr has expressed confidence in his chances of success at Heart of Lions after joining the club on a two-year deal.
The 25-year-old left the Phobian Club to make the move to the Kpando-based side ahead of the new 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
In an interview with Asempa FM, Obeng Jr expressed his excitement about joining the team and vowed to repay their faith in him. "I've been warmly welcomed by Heart of Lions, and I'm excited to be part of the team. I hope to make a bigger impact here," he said.
Obeng Jr also praised the tactical expertise of veteran coach Bashir Hayford, who is the head coach of the side.
"Bashir Hayford is an experienced coach, and I'm looking forward to working with him. I believe it will help me grow as a player."
The former Nea Salamina attacker joined Heart of Lions after his proposed move to a South African club fell through.
Meanwhile, Heart of Lions are set to begin their new season with an away game against Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa.
