At the launch event, SOCALOCA’s Co-founder and CEO, Lionel Foy, emphasized the platform’s mission to democratize football, unite players and fans, aid coaches and scouts, and provide a trusted hub for football activities.

With Ghanaian football struggling to compete at the continental level due to a lack of data and technology, SOCALOCA’s launch marks a significant milestone in the country’s football history.
According to Mr. Henry Asante Twum, Director of Communication for the Ghana Football Association (GFA), SOCALOCA will provide accessible data, enhance the game, and attract top talent and brands.
The platform will give players the opportunity to be scouted by clubs from different parts of the world,” Mr. Asante Twum added.
The launch of SOCALOCA marks a significant milestone in Ghana’s football history, and stakeholders are urged to support the platform in making data accessibility seamless and modernizing the game.
For his part, Josiah Okoe Quaye, Ghana Premier League commentator said Ghana’s football success over the past two decades has made it a revered nation in African and global football. The country boasts immense talent, passion, and a thriving football ecosystem. However, the lack of data and technology has hindered Ghana’s ability to dominate at the continental level.
He added that SOCALOCA’s entry into the scene marks a paradigm shift in Ghanaian football. He stressed that the platform aims to bridge the gap between Ghanaian football and the global football community, leveraging data, technology, and innovation.
