Athletic Bilbao stunned Atletico Madrid in a thrilling Copa del Rey semi-final showdown with a 3-0 victory, securing their spot in the final against Real Mallorca.
Ghana forward, Inaki Williams, who has been in stellar form, opened the scoring with a brilliant volley in the 13th minute. Later, he turned provider, setting up his brother Nico for the second goal.
Adding to the excitement, Gorka Guruzeta netted a third for Athletic Bilbao. Inaki now boasts 11 goals and five assists in 27 matches across all competitions, showcasing his prowess since his return from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
His brother, Nico, a key player for Athletic Bilbao as well, has recorded an impressive 17 goal contributions (6 goals and 11 assists) this season.
With an upcoming Copa del Rey final against Real Mallorca in April, Athletic Bilbao has the chance to clinch a trophy.
