Ghana captain Andre Ayew has returned to the Black Stars starting eleven for the game against Madagascar this evening after serving his suspension from the 2021 AFCON.
Today, Ghana is hosting Madagascar at the Cape Coast Stadium in the first round of matches in Group E of the qualifiers to the 2023 AFCON scheduled to be staged in the Ivory Coast.
Ahead of kick-off, Ghana head coach Otto Addo has announced his first eleven to go and fight for the win for his team.
In the team’s defense, the likes of Daniel Amartey, Denis Odoi, Baba Rahman, and Gideon Mensah have been tasked to protect goalkeeper Joseph Wollacott.
While Baba Iddrisu is the preferred defensive midfielder, he will receive help from Andre Ayew and Mohammed Kudus who are expected to drop deep to help out.
Teenager Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Jordan Ayew will be operating from the flanks while AS Roma forward Felix Afena-Gyan leads the lines for the Black Stars.
Today's encounter at the Cape Coast Stadium kicks off at 19:00GMT.
