Ghana midfielder, Mohammed Kudus made a return in Ajax first team in their win over FC Twente over the weekend.
The 21-year-old midfielder had not featured for the Eredivisie champions since picking up an injury while on international duty with Ghana in November during the 2022 World Cup playoff against South Africa at the Cape Coast Stadium.
The injury forced the promising forward to miss the just ended 2021 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] hosted in Cameroon where Ghana exited at the group phase.
Kudus replaced Stephen Berghuis in the 86th minute as a rampant Ajax demolished Twente 5-0 at the Johan Cryuff Arena.
A hat-trick from Ivorian forward and a Davy Klassen strike as well as an own goal from Robin Propper condemned the visitors to a heavy defeat.
Mohammed Kudus will be hoping to make his first start for the club in their game against Willem II on Saturday.
