The General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Lawyer Prosper Harrison Addo has shared that FIFA’s dismissal of the protest case brought before it by South Africa is proof of SAFA’s incompetence.
According to the GFA secretary, the South Africa Football Association (SAFA) lacks knowledge about football and only went to FIFA with the protest to distract Ghana from preparations for the 2021 AFCON scheduled to commence in January.
“The South African football Association knows nothing in football and this case clearly shows how incompetent they are, they want to frustrate Ghana and we are focus about the AFCON and the FIFA World Cup play-off,” Prosper Harrison Addo told Light FM in an interview.
FIFA today issued a statement on the ruling taken on the protest filed by SAFA after the Bafana Bafana lost 1-0 to the Black Stars in the world cup qualifiers next month.
FIFA explains that SAFA failed to meet certain requirements and hence the protest is inadmissible.
“The protest lodged by South Africa has been declared inadmissible by the Disciplinary Committee as it did not meet the requirements foreseen under art. 46 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code and art. 14 of the Regulations of the Preliminary Competition of the FIFA World Cup 2022,” a FIFA statement has said.
Meanwhile, FIFA notes that “The decision is subject to appeal,” if SAFA so deems it necessary.

SAFA must stop wasting time and resources on the appeal and focus on building Bafana ..let the Black Stars priceed to play in the 2nd round of qualifiers, it will end there as they won't be playing in Qatar next year. This whole drama is going to end in tears for Ghana.
