Ebusua Dwarfs on Saturday evening put on an impressive performance to condemn Great Olympics to a 4-1 defeat in the Ghana Premier League.
Nicknamed the Crabs, the side hosted the capital-based club at the Cape Coast Stadium today to battle for three points on matchday 21 of the 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.
Going into the game as the underdogs, Ebusua Dwarfs defied the odds to run away with the maximum points to stain the title hopes of Great Olympics.
On the matchday, goals from Simon Martey and Kofi Elia Jnr in the first half handed the home team a comfortable advantage before the break.
Resuming the second half with a lot of confidence, Ebusua Dwarfs stayed focused and scored two more goals through equalizers from Michael Asamoah and Enock Affram to drag the game beyond the reach of the opponent.
With Gladson Awako netting a consolation for Great Olympics in added time, Dwarfs have managed to hold on to win 4-1 at the end of an exciting contest.
While today’s win sees Dwarfs climb to 8th on the Ghana Premier League table, Great Olympics on the other hand stay in the third spot.
