Bechem United on Sunday afternoon put up a classy performance to ensure they defeated Great Olympics 3-1 in the Ghana Premier League.
The club in Bechem today hosted the side from Accra at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park for an encounter on matchday 13 of the 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight league season.
Getting off to a bright start in the first half, Bechem United scored after just 13 minutes of play when Clinton Duodu found the back of the net of Great Olympics with a smart finish.
Keeping momentum, the home team went on to double their lead in the 37th minute courtesy of an equalizer from poster boy Hafiz Konkoni.
Pegged behind and headed for a defeat, Great Olympics resumed the second half to play with more urgency in a bid to get back into the game.
Having failed to take advantage of the few chances that came their way, they received additional punishment in the 84th minute when Moro Salifu converted a penalty kick to increase the lead for Bechem United.
In added time, however, Great Olympics managed to pull one back through Charles Otu. That goal only served as consolation with Bechem United holding on to win 3-1 at the end of the game.
