Veteran Ghana striker, Hans Kwoffie has confirmed that he has signed a contract with Ashanti Gold SC and will join the club when football resumes in the country.
The forward played for the Miners in the Ghana Premier League during the 2015/2016 football season before subsequently moving on to sign for Egyptian outfit Smouha SC.
Having returned home after ending his stint with Malaysian side Puchong Fuerza, Hans Kwoffie has signed a contract with his former club, Obuasi Ashanti Gold.
“I've signed one and half-season with AshGold. I will join the club when football resumes”, the 31-year-old striker said in an interview with Wontumi TV.
He added, “I am the same Hans Kwofie, so the fans should expect the Hans they knew years back and also be patient when things aren't going well too”.
Kwoffie becomes the first signing of the Miners ahead of the next transfer window and will serve as a squad boost for the team that has been selected to play in the next edition of the CAF Confederations Cup.
