Highly-rated Asante Kotoko defender, Habib Mohammed has opened up on his desire to achieve great things with the team in order to be counted amongst the legends of the club.
The young defender in the past year has proven that he is meant for outstanding feats in the near future. Not only has he excelled with the Porcupine Warriors, but he was one of Ghana’s best players at the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament last year.
Speaking in an interview with BA Tv in the midst of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis, Habib Mohammed has shared that he wants to excel at Kotoko to ensure he is remembered by fans even when he is no more donning the Red jersey.
“I want to make great history with Kotoko like what the likes of Yussif Chibsah, Stephen Oduro, Godwin Ablordey, and the rest did for the club so that I will also be remembered by the fans”, the 22-year-old center-back said.
With more years ahead for him, pundits are tipping the defender to become an asset for the Black Stars.
Prior to the suspension of the Ghana Premier League season, his excellent form for the Porcupine Warriors had earned him his maiden call-up to the senior national team.
Unfortunately, the Covid-19 situation on the continent forced the postponement of the AFCON qualifiers which could have seen Habib make his debut.
