FORGIVE ME
Like the sting of a bee,
like the pinch of a thorn,
like blade slicing through your being,
so have been the pain you bore.
Your laughter was made sad,
your smiles; weak and drawn,
for all I did was treat you bad,
even nights when you cried on the lawn,
when my words hurt and drove you mad,
and in those days when I left you alone,
chasing fake pleasures like a lost lad.
I was mean... so mean;
To you who showed me the essence of love.
To you who sacrificed your time and all.
You treated me like a dove,
held me up when I stumble to fall.
Like a breath of fresh air
you were always there...
like rain...you drown my pain,
and yet, all your love I traded for vain.
Oh love!
I've been about and around.
Time is what I've wasted and lost,
I chased after all which in you I already found.
My heart was weakened by my own lust,
blinding me from your love so profound.
Now my eyes are opened to my own faults.
Oh my beauty queen!
Look upon me with kindness,
overlook my days of foolishness,
I know I've caused you so much sadness,
and here upon my knees I plea your forgiveness.
I was a fool and now it shows
how I fail to make you see
what you truly mean to me.
My heart is sorry and begging please... Forgive me.
