BEWILDERMENT

She walks on a lonely pathway
Oblivious of the woes ahead,
Searching for her love – she does.

Her heart groans for love
Under the spell of bewilderment.
Somewhere between confusion and mistrust,
His heart is only capable of History;
Unseen and unfounded.

Far, far; further, further,
She sees hope
Locked up in the cage of love –
Still bewildered.

Mindful of whom she was,
Ties of love and affection
Loosened and broken
Embraced and bound to hearts
With impregnable chains.
