She Did Not Fail – We Failed Her

They called her names.
Said she was a disgrace.
They looked at her belly –
But never her story.
She was just a girl facing hunger. Hardship. Hope.
A girl trying to survive.
And someone maybe her age,
Maybe old enough to be her father
Saw her struggle and bought her silence with money.
And now she carries the shame
While he walks free.
She is judged.
He is forgotten.
But I will not forget.
And I will not stay silent.
Because girls deserve truth, not judgement.
Protection, not punishment.
Support, not silence.
Pregnancy is not a girl's crime – exploitation is.
And until we start blaming the right people,
We will keep failing the very girls we were meant to protect.
