Controversial Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has defended polygamy, arguing that it is not a sin and citing examples from the Bible.
In a post shared on his X handle, he claimed that many great men in the Bible had multiple wives, and God never had an issue with them.
Yul argued that God was even willing to give them more wives. He suggested that many men today are destined to have multiple wives, but they end up with just one because they do not know who they are and are afraid of what society will say.
According to him, this is why life does not seem to be working for them.

The Nigerian Voice recalls that Edochie's post stems from the recent criticisms that have trailed a US-based pastor, Israel Ford of LifeWorks Church in Wickliffe, Ohio.
Ford recently sparked controversy by publicly announcing his marriage to a second wife, Shakayla Ford. The pastor openly defied traditional Christian norms, stating that the belief a man should only have one wife is unbiblical, and maintained that he is committed to following God's revelation rather than seeking human approval.
