Akanbi Elizabeth Irawomitan, the wife of the late gospel minister Olayemi Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, was overcome with grief while honouring her husband's memory in Ibadan, on Tuesday.
The Nigerian Voice recalls that colleagues and loved ones gathered for a Night of Tributes to celebrate the life of the singer, who passed away on October 14, 2026.
In line with the event's requirement for attendees to wear white, the widow stepped onto the stage in a matching outfit. However, the weight of the moment hit her as she began to speak, and she broke into tears.
Holding tightly to the microphone, she poured out her heart, expressing how deeply she will miss him and begging him not to forget her and their kids.
A clip from the emotional ceremony, showed her crying profusely as relatives and friends rallied around to comfort her.
The occasion drew several notable figures from the gospel and entertainment space, such as Bidemi Olaoba, Yinka Alaseyori, Bimbo Ohin, SB Live, Woli Agba, and Dele Omo Woli, among other guests.
She said:
"Toluwanisings, my dear husband, I will forever miss you. Please do not forget your children and me."
