Israel DMW, the logistics manager of Afrobeats star Davido, has provided insight into the singer's political convictions, revealing that his boss has turned down massive financial offers to endorse presidential candidates.
Taking to his Instagram page, Israel addressed the singer's followers directly, urging them to ignore rumours suggesting that Davido is secretly working with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Israel described the circulating reports as fabricated lies aimed at generating social media traffic, insisting that the singer's original stance remains unchanged.
He explained that Davido prioritizes his connection with the masses, stating that the singer consistently rejects millions of dollars because he refuses to betray everyday Nigerians who are facing severe economic hardship.
He wrote:
"Dearest Nigerians, kindly disregard the useless rumours going around that Oga has been secretly or is currently working for the APC. All are totally fabricated lies to gain social media traffic. His earlier stance still remains."
"Oga has rejected several millions of dollars to endorse any of the presidential candidates. He keeps saying he would be with Nigerians, who are going through a lot, and that he would never betray them at all. What else do Nigerians want again?"
The Nigerian Voice recalls that Davido had previously declared he would not support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a decision rooted in the stiff opposition that overwhelmed his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, during the Osun State re-election campaign
