"Sometimes The Returns Don't Match The Effort"  — Omoni Oboli Encourages Filmmakers

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli has shared a heartfelt message of encouragement to filmmakers, acknowledging the heavy toll the profession takes on their physical and mental well-being.

In a post shared on her Instagram page on Tuesday, she opened up about her own recent health struggle while on set.

The award-winning filmmaker revealed that she was severely ill but could not find the time to stop and recover, expressing gratitude to God for healing. She noted that she understands the long hours, sacrifices, and unseen efforts that go into filmmaking, adding that sometimes the financial returns do not match the effort invested.

She offered a prayer for strength, support, and breathing room for those in that situation, urging them to take care of themselves because the industry needs them well.

Encouraging her colleagues to keep going, Omoni Oboli that God is working even when they cannot see it yet.

She wrote:

"Out here shooting. I was so ill and couldn't find room to stop and recover. Thank God for healing"
