Veteran Nollywood actor Antar Laniyan has declared his firm stance on political discussions, stating that he will not participate in conversations that disparage President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He made this known during an appearance on the African A-List podcast.
Laniyan emphasized his loyalty to the President, noting that if a friend speaks ill of Tinubu in his presence, he will simply remove himself from the situation.
He explained that his decision is based on his personal conviction that the criticisms do not reflect the reality he knows about the President.
The Yoruba actor further stressed that he is not obligated to align with anyone's negative narratives, adding that even if he personally experiences a grievance from the President, he still would not partake in conversations aimed at tearing him down.
He said:
"If you are my friend and while we are together, you talk against President Bola Tinubu, I will walk away because he has not been what you're saying to me. I don't have to support you."
"Even if he does it to me, I will not engage in the conversation, I will still walk away."
