Nigerian disc jockey Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has shared a key lesson she learnt from her father, billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, about the true purpose of business.
In a post shared on LinkedIn on Monday, she revealed that watching him grow his investment in First HoldCo Plc taught her that business is not just about making money but about creating value for others.
Cuppy noted that the company recently introduced a policy targeting a minimum dividend payout of 60 per cent of annual profits to shareholders, which she cited as an example of creating value.
She also expressed admiration for her father's confidence, revealing that he has invested over $450 million of his own money in shares. She described him as a genius and stated that she will always be his student.

"The older I get, the more I realise that the REAL wealth is in the way he thinks.. I'll always be his student. Very happy to learn."
