The organisers of The Headies have announced that the 18th edition of the awards will no longer hold this year.
The ceremony has been rescheduled to take place in Toronto, Canada, on April 10 and 11, 2027.
According to a statement shared on the awards' official Instagram page, the shift is intended to accommodate a bigger programme across Nigeria and Canada before the grand finale.
The organisers noted that activities under the Road to The Headies banner will still go on during the period originally set aside for the event, with details to be communicated through official channels.

The statement read:
"The road to the 18th Headies continues. We're expanding the programme in Nigeria and Canada ahead of our Toronto finale, now scheduled for April 10 and 11, 2027."
"Road to The Headies activities will continue during the original event period, with programme details to follow through our official channels."
