The Minister for Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams, has called for accountability from Tribe Culture Fest Chief Executive Officer Nana Boateng Gyimah over an alleged $611,000 scandal linked to the 2026 FIFA World Cup visa arrangements.
Speaking on Joy TV, Mr. Adams insisted that the CEO must be held responsible for the funds in question and urged the relevant authorities to take appropriate action if wrongdoing is established.
“We must hold the Tribe Culture Fest CEO, Nana Boateng Gyimah, responsible. He cannot run away with $611,000 of the people's money. We must make sure we get him, and if it is found that he has deceived the people, we must take criminal action against him,” Mr. Adams said.
The Sports Minister further alleged that Gyimah, who he claimed had been working with the National Sports Authority (NSA), possessed relevant details about the matter but was allegedly trying to avoid refunding the money.
Mr. Adams also accused the CEO of pushing narratives that, in his view, were intended to obscure the circumstances surrounding the disputed funds.
The allegations have raised questions about the handling of money collected in connection with World Cup visa arrangements and the need for transparency and accountability in the process.
Mr. Adams maintained that the matter should not be allowed to fade away, stressing the importance of establishing the facts and ensuring that anyone found to have committed an offence faces the appropriate legal consequences.
However, the allegations against Nana Boateng Gyimah have not been independently verified in this report. His response to the accusations was not available at the time of writing.
The case underscores the importance of a thorough investigation into the alleged $611,000 transaction, with the facts established through the appropriate legal and investigative processes.
