
Nigerian gospel production company Mount Zion Faith Ministries has set a major milestone with its theatrical release, 'Agbara Nla: The Return', which has grossed over N70 million from single-day preview screenings.
The feat was announced by the Nigerian Box Office, which disclosed that the film recorded N70 million from 12,134 admissions during its preview run between September 25 and October 1.
According to the Nigerian Box Office, the film now holds the record for the biggest single-day preview gross ever recorded in West Africa, placing it at number one for the period.
It added that the 12,134 admissions represent the biggest first-day admissions in 2026, while the N70 million gross is the biggest first-day gross for a Nollywood title this year.
The film also holds the biggest single-day gross for October so far.
Agbara Nla: The Return' is an anticipated modern remake of the legendary 1993 Mount Zion Faith Ministries classic, 'Agbara Nla (The Ultimate Power)'.
The film is directed by Damilola Mike-Bamiloye and co-directed by Joshua Mike-Bamiloye.
