Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has addressed the perception that he is a misogynist, describing it as the biggest misconception about him.
Speaking on a recent episode of the In Motion Podcast, he explained that the label bothers him because it is unfair, especially given his willingness to sacrifice his life for the woman he loves.
The 'Declan Rice' crooner posited that any man who cannot die for his woman is a fool, grounding his position in his Christian faith. He noted that Jesus Christ taught that a man should love his wife as Christ loves the Church, and Christ died for the Church.
He added that he expects to die before his wife, noting that she is younger than him, and that it makes no sense for her to die first. He explained that upon his death, his wife would distribute his wealth to their children to prevent disputes and continue his legacy.
Odumodublvck also emphasised that being willing to die for his girlfriend is not the behaviour of a misogynist, questioning how anyone could label him that way.
"Any man who can't die for his woman is a fool. I am a Christian, and Jesus Christ said we should love our wife like Christ loves the Church. And what did Christ do for the Church? He died for the Church."
"I am probably going to die before my wife, in Jesus' name, because my wife is younger than me. Why should she die before me? It doesn't make any sense. I should die before my wife. And when I die, it is my wife who will take and distribute my wealth to my children so that there will be no issue. It is my wife that will continue my legacy."
"The biggest misconception about me is that I am a misogynist. It bothers me a lot because it is such an unfair thing to say. I am willing to die for my girlfriend; does that seem like what a misogynist would do?"
