Veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD, is celebrating his colleague and friend, Joke Silva, as she turns 65.

In a post shared on his Instagram page on Tuesday, he described her as his aburo and noted that 65 is no small milestone.

RMD acknowledged that she is mourning the loss of her husband, the late Olu Jacobs, whom he referred to as Uncle Jay, but noted that her life of grace, dedication, and love for family, craft, and country is worth celebrating.

He revealed that he has celebrated her since their paths crossed over 40 years ago, describing her as a friend, baby sister, and colleague.

He further praised her immense contribution to the industry, her commitment to excellence, and the lives she has touched, adding that it is a privilege to witness the woman she has become.

RMD prayed for strength, peace, joy, and many more beautiful years for her, expressing that she is celebrated, cherished, and honoured today and always.

He wrote:
