Nollywood actress Linda Ejiofor-Suleiman is tooting her horns after her latest film, 'Black Market', broke a Guinness World Record for the largest attendance at a single film screening.
The historic feat was achieved on Saturday at Tafawa Balewa Square, Onikan, Lagos, where over 51,000 viewers gathered simultaneously to watch the premiere.
Taking to her Instagram page, the wife of actor Ibrahim Suleiman, expressed her excitement, declaring that casting her in a film is the key to breaking records. She revealed that this makes it two records in one year, crediting God for being her plug.
She wrote:
"You want your film to break and shatter records, cast me in them. 2 records in one year! Chineke na my plug."
The Nigerian Voice recalls that 'Black Market' was produced by Rixel Studios, led by filmmaker Nora Awolowo, and directed by Fatimah Binta Gimsay, who co-wrote it with Abdul Tijani-Ahmed.
The film features a star-studded cast including Linda Ejiofor-Suleiman, Lateef Adedimeji, Ibrahim Yekini, Scarlet Gomez, Omowunmi Dada, Teniola Aladese, Susan Pwajok, and Uzor Arukwe.
The record attempt was driven by a collaboration between Switch Visuals Productions and Rixel Studios, with Switch Visuals handling event production.
